My motivations in veterinary medicine are many, and they begin with a lifelong devotion to animals. I have been lucky enough to share my life with several pets along the way. As a vet, I simply want to help keep animals healthy, to help them when they are not well, and to help make them as comfortable as possible in all stages of their lives, from beginning to end.
I also recognize the beauty of the bond that people have with their animals and I feel so fortunate to be involved in that bond. I see how important pets are to their families and I value that. I have been a vet for over 15 years and I believe that in addition to my knowledge and the experience I have gained in that time, I have a gentle, calm, caring and compassionate manner that many animals respond to (not all - I have some scars to show for my efforts too!).
As far as the house call aspect of my practice, I think that many animals feel much more comfortable in their home environment. By traveling to your home and caring for your pet there, I can ease some of their concerns, I can see them in their own environment, and I can spend more time watching them, interacting with them and providing an individual health plan for them. Hopefully, I can make things easier for you too.
